Ms. Bowden joined Park Cities full-time in 2023. Ms. Bowden began her investment career as a private credit analyst with Park Cities Asset Management in June 2022 while attending Southern Methodist University. Ms. Bowden earned her BBA in Finance and BA in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Smith joined Park Cities in May 2023 as a Managing Director and brings over 30 years of professional marketing, institutional capital raising, investor relations, new product development and institutional services in the securities industry. Mr. Smith has held responsibilities for various alternative strategies, and successfully represented some of the largest and most successful asset managers. Prior to joining Park Cities, Mr. Smith worked for Sanders Morris Harris (SMH), RCH Energy, Hayman Capital Management which was founded by Kyle Bass where he oversaw the institutional capital raising efforts for the firm. Mr. Smith has held positions at Smith Group Asset Management, Ranger Capital Group and John McStay Investment Counsel. Mr. Smith began his career at Smith Barney where his focus was on corporate and institutional relationships. Mr. Smith was a member of the 401(k) Advisory Board and the Blue Chip Council while at Smith Barney. Mr. Smith is currently a Board Member of the Neurological Health Foundation.
Mr. Smith holds a BBA in Finance from Dallas Baptist University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, graduating with honors – beta gamma sigma.
Mrs. Hansen joined Park Cities in 2022 as a Senior Fund Accountant where she is responsible for day-to-day accounting. Previously, Mrs. Hansen spent three years as Accountant with FirstService Residential where she was responsible for client onboarding, month end financial reporting and all accounting functions for a portfolio of clients. Prior to FirstService Residential, Mrs. Hansen spent three years with Akumin and was responsible for day-to-day accounting and preparing financial statements.
Mrs. Hansen graduated from University of Texas at Dallas where she earned her BA in Accounting.
Mr. Franklin joined PCAM in 2022 as an Associate. He is responsible for due diligence and financial analysis related to new investment opportunities. Prior to joining PCAM, Mr. Franklin was in the Analyst Development Program at Capital One where he worked on several strategic initiatives in the Loan Servicing and Originations groups in Auto Finance.
Mr. Franklin graduated from Texas A&M University where he earned his BS in Industrial Distribution from the Dwight Look College of Engineering and MS in Finance from Mays Business School.
Ms. Stine joined Park Cities in 2022 as Chief of Staff. Previously, Ms. Stine was Executive Assistant to the President & Co-Partner of Aethon Energy. At Aethon, Ms. Stine’s major responsibilities included managing large scale events, customer relationship management and meeting coordination. Prior to Aethon, Ms. Stine spent six years in New York City working at various financial services firms on both the buy side and sell side including Guggenheim Securities, Marshall Wace and TD Securities.
Ms. Stine graduated from Drexel University where she earned her BS in Hospitality Management and Marketing.
Mr. Novak joined Park Cities in 2021 as an Associate. He is responsible for due diligence and financial analysis related to new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Park Cities, Mr. Novak managed Corporate Finance and Strategy at SGR Midstream where he was responsible for assessing investment opportunities in both the U.S. and Latin America. Mr. Novak began his career as an Investment Banker at Skystone Securities.
Mr. Novak graduated from Southern Methodist University where he earned his BBA in Business and his MS in Finance from the Cox School of Business.
Mr. Rice joined Park Cities, in 2019 as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his current role, Mr. Rice was Vice President of Corporate FP&A at Mr. Cooper Group Inc. (FKA Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc.) one of the largest mortgage servicers in the United States. Prior to Mr. Cooper, Mr Rice spent six years at Invesco Real Estate. Mr. Rice began his accounting career in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services practice with Ernst & Young.
Mr. Rice earned his BA and MS in Accounting from Texas Tech University. Mr. Rice is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
Mr. Garcia joined Park Cities in 2024 as Controller. He brings over 20+ years’ experience largely in Real Estate Accounting, including Behringer Harvard, Cypress Equities, Tabani Group, Ameritex Homes and Trinity Interest.
Mr. Garcia earned his BS in Accounting from Centro de Estudios Universitarios in Monterrey Mexico and is a CPA in Mexico.
Mrs. Tseggai joined Park Cities full-time in 2023. Before joining Park Cities, she worked as a Senior Fund Accountant at both Assure and Ulitimus LeverPoint for two years. Prior to her roles at Assure and Ulitimus LeverPoint, Mrs. Tseggai worked as a Senior Accountant at FirstService Residential for four years. She began her career as an Accountant at a nonprofit organization after graduating from the University of North Texas at Denton and earned BA in Accounting.
Ms. Ricks joined RPFG, now Park Cities, in 2015 and is responsible for managing regulatory compliance and the implementation of Park Cities’ compliance policies and procedures. She oversees the relationship with the Firm’s third-party compliance partner, CORE-CCO, and third-party consumer compliance consulting firm, Tatum. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Ricks was the Compliance Testing and Monitoring Manager for PlainsCapital Bank where she was in charge of auditing regulatory compliance affecting consumer operations and lending with an emphasis on home mortgage loans. Her 15 years with PlainsCapital also includes working as an Assistant Vice President – Bank Secrecy Act and Consumer Real Estate Loan officer.
Ms. Ricks earned her BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University.
Mr. Reordan joined Park Cities in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 25 years’ experience in Financial, Accounting, Treasury and Capital Markets roles, primarily in Mortgage Banking & Commercial Real Estate. Prior to joining PCAM, Mr. Reordan served as CFO for Atlantic Coast Mortgage, where he oversaw Finance, Accounting, and Investor Relations. Previously, he served as EVP Treasurer for Stearns Lending, where he aided the company in a successful sale of the company to Guaranteed Rate, and as Vice President of Treasury for Mr. Cooper, one of the largest independent mortgage servicers in the US. Prior to that, Mr. Reordan held various Accounting, Treasury, and Capital Markets roles for Crescent Real Estate.
Mr. Reordan earned his BBA in Accounting from Texas Christian University and his MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and is a Texas CPA.
Mr. Shawkey joined Park Cities in 2018 as an Associate. He is responsible for due diligence and financial analysis related to new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Park Cities, Mr. Shawkey worked on the Strategy & Corporate Development team at Santander Consumer USA.
Mr. Shawkey graduated from Southern Methodist University where he earned his BBA in Finance from the Cox School of Business and his BA in Economics from the Dedman College. Mr. Shawkey is a CFA charterholder.
Mr. Leider joined Park Cities’ credit team in 2019 as a Principal where he is primarily responsible for analyzing, executing and managing new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Park Cities, Mr. Leider was a Vice President of Corporate Finance Loan Originations at Wells Fargo Capital Finance (FKA Foothill Capital). While there, he structured senior secured, unitranche, and split lien credit facilities for middle market companies across a wide range of industries and also managed a $300 million portfolio of senior financing commitments within the Specialty Finance Group. During his tenure, Mr. Leider was selected for their prestigious Golden Spoke Award, which recognizes outstanding performance and achievement. Mr. Leider began his career at U.S. Trust Private Wealth Management in Los Angeles.
Mr. Leider earned his BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. Mr. Leider is CFA charterholder.
Ms. Perno joined PCAM in 2023 and serves as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer & Director of Operations. Her career spans two decades, characterized by her unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and transformative leadership. Her journey has taken her from the bustling financial hub of New York to the innovation hub of Silicon Valley, developing a remarkable blend of financial acumen, strategic vision, and a deep passion for connecting with people.
Prior to joining the firm, Jessica held key roles on Wall Street that solidified her reputation as a seasoned compliance and operations professional. Her experience included serving as the Deputy CCO/COO at Buckingham Capital Management, and as VP of Capital Markets Compliance at renowned institutions like Goldman Sachs and Barclays Investment Bank, where she specialized in structured products and fin-tech.
In 2019, Jessica ventured into the world of ed-tech, co-founding ParentDayOut.com. As the CEO of this groundbreaking platform, she led a revolutionary journey transforming the way parents connect with early education facilities nationwide. Her visionary leadership transformed the landscape of ed-tech, leaving an enduring legacy.
Outside her professional endeavors, Jessica is a mom, and deeply involved in her community, holding positions like the Community Outreach Chair for Bradfield Elementary PTA and serving in the Kids’ Ministry at various local churches.
Mr. McCutchen joined Park Cities in March 2018 as a Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Park Cities, Mr. McCutchen was a Co-Founder and Partner at Jupiter Peak Capital, an independent investment manager dedicated to providing capital solutions across special situation opportunities. Prior to Jupiter Peak, he served as a Director and Associate Portfolio Manager at Crestline Investors, Inc. focusing on all investment and management aspects within their Opportunistic Strategies Group. Before Crestline, he was a Vice President at Prophet Equity where he was responsible for deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, monitoring, value creation and investment realization. Prior to Prophet Equity, he was a Senior Associate at ComVest Group. Mr McCutchen began his principal investing career at Sun Capital Partners. Mr. McCutchen began his career in New York City, working in the investment banking division of Citigroup.
Mr. McCutchen graduated with both a BS and MS in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Ms. Hollis joined Park Cities in November 2017 as a Portfolio Manager. Previously, Ms. Hollis was the Chief Operating Officer of Digital Contact, an international digital marketing company, where her focus was on strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Prior to Digital Contact, Ms. Hollis founded and led a multi-strategy principal investing and consulting firm focused on opportunities in the private credit and equity markets, with an emphasis on distressed issuers of privately held debt. She began her career in the financial industry at Deutsche Bank where she was Managing Director in the Global Principal Finance and Structured Products group and a senior member of the Global Markets management team, focused on principal investments in structured credit and equity positions across asset classes.
Ms. Hollis received her Juris Doctorate degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Mr. Dunev is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Park Cities and serves on the Investment Committee. Prior to organizing Park Cities in June 2017, Mr. Dunev served as a Managing Director in UBS’s Investment Banking Division, where he led the bank’s Specialty Finance efforts in the Americas. While at UBS, he was responsible for the firm’s activities in the Specialty Finance and technology-enabled lending sectors, including private and public capital raising and M&A activity. Mr. Dunev also served as the global subject matter expert on technology-enabled lending for UBS and was often called upon to assist on client transactions across the globe. Prior to UBS, Mr. Dunev was a Senior Vice President at Tegris Advisors LLC. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Mr. Dunev was awarded the “40 under 40” Award by The M&A Advisor in 2014 in recognition of his leadership in deal making in the Financial Services industry.
Mr. Dunev received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College’s Carrol School of Business.
Mr. Thomas is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Park Cities and serves on the Investment Committee. Prior to organizing Park Cities in June 2017, Mr. Thomas founded Redpoint Funding Group (“RPFG”) in 2008 and developed the firm’s asset-based, direct lending model. He currently manages its day-to-day operations. Prior to RPFG, Mr. Thomas served as the Chief Financial Officer of American Pawn Superstores from 1994 until he led the successful sale of the company to a public competitor in a series of transactions. Mr. Thomas began his career with Arthur Andersen where he was a Senior Accountant in the special services and consulting practice. His experience included mergers of regional and national banks, real estate consulting and international finance companies.
Mr. Thomas is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Harding University.
